Oscar Elizondo

Construction & Home Services Specialist

Oscar Elizondo, a seasoned business leader from Pharr, Texas, is entering a new chapter in his professional journey, shifting his focus to the construction industry after years of experience in healthcare and other sectors. This transition reflects his effort to apply his operational knowledge and financial discipline to commercial and residential construction, remodeling, and the steady expansion of home services across Texas.

Elizondo has built a career spanning multiple industries, and his move into construction is supported by his prior work in real estate investment and project management. This background allows him to approach construction with a practical understanding of planning, execution, and long-term value. His work focuses on delivering reliable construction outcomes while meeting the growing demand for residential and commercial development across the region.

Oscar has not entered this field without preparation. His prior involvement in real estate and property transactions gave him direct exposure to construction processes, investment decisions, and project timelines. This experience now supports his ability to manage more complex building and remodeling work while maintaining consistency and accountability.

Early Professional Career and Corporate Foundations

Elizondo graduated from the University of Texas–Rio Grande Valley with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting. He began his professional career in corporate tax preparation and accounting, working with mid-sized and large organizations. These early roles helped him develop a strong understanding of financial systems, budgeting, and operational processes that continue to influence his work today.

Oscar Elizondo of Pharr, TX, later advanced into a regional manager role at ADP Payroll Processing, Inc., where he was responsible for expanding operations across South Texas. His work involved building client relationships, managing business growth, and supporting operational development. His performance earned him recognition as Rookie of the Year and Manager of the Year, reflecting his consistent execution and professional approach.

Embarking on Real Estate and Construction Ventures

Oscar Elizondo became active in real estate before fully transitioning to construction. After earning his real estate license on his first attempt, he worked as both an investor and an agent. Between 2012 and 2018, he bought and sold more than $20 million in property. This experience strengthened his understanding of market demand, property value, and transaction management.

Elizondo’s involvement in construction began earlier, in 2003, when he started building homes alongside his cousin Rudy Elizondo. What initially began as a side effort gradually became a more defined direction. Over time, he remodeled his own properties and developed the skills that later supported his business operations. In 2019, he established Zondo Construction and Zondo Roofing, overseeing residential homes, apartment complexes, and commercial buildings across South Texas.

Oscar expanded his work into renovation and restoration projects, focusing on churches, commercial buildings, and residential properties. These projects require coordination, planning, and attention to structural details. His approach emphasizes maintaining the original integrity of buildings while improving their functionality, efficiency, and long-term durability.

Elizondo has also continued to grow his roofing services, which are in high demand across Texas due to environmental conditions. As part of his long-term plans, he is exploring adding foundation repair services to offer clients a broader range of construction solutions.

Construction Leadership

Oscar Elizondo leads construction projects with a focus on clear timelines, accountability, and coordination among contractors, engineers, and clients. Whether managing new construction or remodeling work, he approaches each project with an emphasis on consistent execution and quality results.

Elizondo works closely with all parties involved to ensure projects remain aligned with expectations. His ability to connect financial planning with on-site operations helps maintain control over timelines and project scope. He has also developed long-term relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and local stakeholders, which support smoother project delivery across different types of construction work.

Community Involvement and Personal Life

Oscar remains connected to his community while managing his professional responsibilities. He has served on the Economic Development Board in Pharr, where he currently resides. His involvement reflects his continued interest in regional growth and infrastructure development.

Elizondo also contributes to nonprofit and youth organizations. He has held leadership roles in Boys and Girls Clubs, economic development corporation boards, and Lions Clubs, and has coached youth sports.

Oscar spends his time outside of work cycling, running, fishing, hiking, and following the Texas Longhorns athletics. As a father, he supports his children as they pursue careers in healthcare, maintaining a connection to the field he was previously involved in.

Oscar Elizondo continues to build on his experience by focusing on construction, including residential and commercial projects, as well as remodeling and roofing services. With plans to expand into foundation repair, he remains committed to improving structures and supporting communities across Texas, while continuing to grow through practical, consistent work.
